Goal: state of the art plug&play router firmware

  • Vision 1: After installing firmware image, user enters IP address and IPsec key and is online
  • Vision 2: After installing firmware image, user enters credentials and node name, autoprovisioning will do the rest

  • create dependency graph and priority list
  • make design decisions

  • reimplement FreiFunkFirmware functionality based on OpenWRT Kamikaze

  • create .ipk package(s) on top of OpenWRT Kamikaze, do not fork from OpenWRT
